Cosmetology

 

      The 1600 clock hour cosmetology program is designed to prepare students for the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination and subsequent profitable employment in the field of cosmetology. The knowledge and skills gained through this course of study will prepare the licensed graduate for work as a cosmetologist, hair stylist, hair colorist, product technician, demonstrator, cosmetology salon owner or manager, as well as other industry related occupations. This program can be completed in as little as nine months and a maximum of fifteen months.

 

      This program is NACCAS accredited, which means that U.S. Department of Education Title IV Student Financial Assistance is available to students who qualify.

 

      Cosmetology program classes are Monday through Friday, with Saturdays offered as an optional attendance day. Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM, part-time students attend Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM, part-time students attend Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Depending upon attendance and scheduling it is possible that a student could complete this program in as short a period as nine months. The maximum completion time frame is thirteen months. Students who exceed their contract period may be subject to overtime charges for each hour of overtime required to complete their program. The current charge for overtime if $9.80 per hour.

 

 

      Advanced training in Cosmetology and refresher programs are also available. These programs do not qualify for financial assistance. The minimum length of a brush-up or advanced program is twenty-five hours, the maximum is one hundred hours. The current hourly rate is $15.00 per hour, with a registration fee that equals fifteen percent of the total tuition or one hundred dollars, whichever is less. There may be additional charges for supplies, equipment and texts. Please call for a quotation.

 

 

      The current cost for Charles of Italy Beauty College Cosmetology training is $10,000.00 which includes registration fees, kit, books, supplies and tuition.
